MacroDroid is the easiest way to automate tasks in three simple steps:
1. Select the trigger
2. Select the actions to perform
3. Add (optional) constraints to activate a macro only when you want
That is all to be done!
For beginners there is a simple wizard that lets you build your macro and add triggers, actions and constraints in one easy step. You can long press on any trigger, action or constraint for a more detailed description.
If you're looking for more advanced features MacroDroid offers additional functions like flow control by IF-THEN-ELSE-clauses, showing/hiding custom notifications, sending intents, stopwatches, options to define and manipulate your own created variables, use and trigger on system parameters, the use of OR, AND logic functions and many more.
It's easy to keep track of your macros. Each macro can be organised in a specific category (and a category/macro can be colour coded). Any macro (or entire category) can be enabled/disabled. Each Macro can be given a description and every trigger, action and constraint can be given a comment to help annotate complex macros.
MacroDroid also provides a customizable drawer on your home screen where macros, variables, stopwatches etc. easily can be pinned for quick access.
If you're looking for inspiration MacroDroid includes many built in and user shared templates to demonstrate the power and flexibility of the application and help you get started. These templates can be used as is, or easily customised to meet your needs.
The free version of MacroDroid is limited to five macros and displays adverts. You can upgrade in the application to allow unlimited macros and remove all adverts. In addition Pro users can share their macros with the community using the built in template store.
